A 4,999 sq. ft. home that once belonged to The Wizard of Oz star Judy Garland in the Hollywood Hills has sold for $4.675 million.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the three-story Los Angeles mansion remained on the market about six months, after it was initially put up for sale this past February with an asking price of $6.129 million.

The sellers accepted about $1.5 million for the home, which has five bedrooms and seven-and-a-half bathrooms, according to the outlet.

The home, which sits atop the Sunset Strip, was initially designed by famed architect John Woolf and built in 1941. It offers magnificent views of Los Angeles and the city’s skyline.

Among the amenities featured in the home include a floor-to-ceiling bookcase that is in front of a hidden door toward Garland’s master bedroom.

A living room in the abode allows for plenty of natural sunlight to pour in, while the bathrooms in the home are of varying styles embodying modern luxury.

The home’s exterior is lined with bamboo and tropical plants with lush landscaping.

Garland resided there from 1944 to 1948 with her family, including husband Vincente Minnelli and then baby daughter Liza Minnelli, 74.

The late Sammy Davis Jr. wound up moving in, in 1955, according to the listing agent for the home, Alexandra Pfeifer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.

Davis, who went on to perform in multiple shows with Liza Minnelli in the late 1980s, had installed a pool house, according to the real estate company.

The pool home was ‘meant to be a chic space … for recording music and hosting late-night parties away from the main house, where Davis’s children slept.’

Other historic footnotes associated with the home include actor-comedian Wally Cox, while The Weight rock group The Band had recorded at the abode.

Garland’s tragic legacy remains enmeshed in Hollywood lore, as Renée Zellweger claimed the Oscar for Best Actress earlier this year portraying the late entertainer in the motion picture Judy, which chronicled Garland’s final months.

Zellweger, 50, told People that she explored Garland’s personal throughout in preparing for the Academy Award-winning performance.

‘I tried not to think too much about the obvious, which is how adored Judy is and has been through generations,’ Zellweger said. ‘I tried to take that off the table and look at it as an exploration of trying to understand the human experience on the other side of that stardom … otherwise I would have just run away.’

Zellweger continued: ‘I have a little bit of understanding about what it’s like to live with a public persona. I understand the vast gulf between what is written about that persona and the truth of their life.’
