Bloomscape’s New Pineapple Plants Are an Adorable Way to Add Tropical Touch to Your Decor

Pineapples have been popular as decor for a few years now; if you browse any home store, you’ll see this trendy fruit used in prints, sculptures, fabrics, you name it. And if you’ve fallen in love with the pineapple trend, you can take it one step further by growing your very own pineapple plant indoors. Recently, Bloomscape added this adorable tropical houseplant to their online store, and it was so popular that it sold out almost immediately. A type of bromeliad, this cute plant has long, spiny green leaves (like the top of a pineapple) with a tiny, edible fruit growing up from the center.

Bloomscape is planning to restock its pineapple plants in mid-August, but in the meantime, you can join the waitlist to get emailed as soon as they’re back in stock. If you don’t care about harvesting the fruit, The Home Depot has red

Looking To Refresh Your Space? R29’s New Home Decor Collection Is Here To Help

In the era B.C. (before COVID), “home” had its designated purposes. It was where you slept, got dressed, sometimes cooked. You’d come and go. On whims. You’d vacuum only when absolutely necessary.

Now, several months deep in quarantine, “home” is: an office, a restaurant, a workout studio, a bar, a spa, a beach, a library, a movie theater, et al. Which means it’s the perfect time to give your space a makeover.

For over a year now, Refinery29 has been working hard to create a creative line of home goods that’ll help make the interior of your home feel just as inspiring as the outdoors once did.

Designed in partnership with VCNY New York, the full collection is curated by women, and it might include just the home-office-spa-gym accent your prolonged quarantine has been waiting for. With a line-up of bright statement pillows, textiles, and sheet sets, the full

Pier 1 Imports is shutting its doors for good. On Tuesday, the Texas-based company announced that after filing for bankruptcy earlier this year and failing to find a buyer, they’d be shutting down the remaining 541 stores. For all of us decor-loving shoppers who have had many a full cart zooming down the aisles at Pier 1, here’s the plan that’s been announced. When stores are able to reopen post-coronavirus shutdowns, Pier 1 will begin its out-of-business liquidation sales and initiate an “orderly wind-down” of its inventory, as reported in a press release.

The company will continue to fulfill online shopping orders and

Gap Considers Home Decor, While Ralph Lauren Partners With Theodore Alexander

Struggling fashion retailer Gap is heading into unchartered, expansive waters—thanks to a new agreement with IMG, as WWD reported. The licensing deal will make room for expansion into home furnishings, decor, and fabric, among other categories. However, when asked specifically about furniture, a spokesperson for the brand demurred: “It’s too soon to share what we’ll explore first and where it will show up, but the flexibility allows us to react to where the customer is and the categories they are interested in such as home.” Also of note, Ralph Lauren Home has inked a contract with Theodore Alexander, making it its sole manufacturer.
